I got this to use as an indoor dryer in an empty room - basically just to finish drying a few damp items in a load that the dryer didn't complete, so I wouldn't have to stick another dollar in the machine for 10 minutes or so of drying time.I would not try to put really heavy wet loads on this - for example, I wouldn't try to fill it up completely with jeans and towels that were dripping wet. Hanging a sink-load of unmentionables, or some lightweight items would be fine. If you have the space for it, this holds more than the little wooden folding racks, and holds the clothes higher off the ground.
