The product itself, which is essentially a fan circulating air through the five mesh levels, does dry clothes much faster. It takes up very little space, so it's particularly useful for keeping smaller dwellings looking neat--- beats hanging underwear in the bathroom. The reason it doesn't get five stars is because the hangers do not sit securely on the mesh trays; the hangers have grooves which sit on the metal tubes which make up the edges of the mesh trays, but the hangers are easily dislodged (not a good idea if there are kids around).
