I don't like modern design.I DO like some Art Deco---this makes me remember why I like it.This is my own little piece of kitchen counter art. Not the least beautiful thing about it is the fact that it works beautifully. My oversized plates, which won't fit in the dishwasher, are securely held until they are dry---likewise my baking sheets and anything else I need to do by hand.The reason I ordered this little gem is because of the built-in bamboo knife-slot piece which holds my Shuns until I can put them back in the block.Oh!and the excellent little chrome spout which ACTUALLY routes the water back into the sink--it really works...and when it's not in use, it's small and lovely.LOOK at it.I'm very happy with this purchase.Oh!It's not at all difficult to clean, either.
