I bought this product for my family to help us save money on our electric bill.With a young child that is potty training, we were running the dryer constantly.I got the product about 2 weeks after ordering, what I normally expect when shipping to Vermont from elsewhere.I had our handyman install it in the studs with a stud finder, and we followed the directions for installation and use.We decided to slowly put clothes evenly on each line as opposed to filling one line at a time.Still, the first time we used it, as I was hanging clothes, I could hear a cracking sound.But when I looked there were no cracks anywhere, but the bar that you pull out was bowing a little.After 1 week, the plastic started cracking, but it seemed to be holding, so I didn't think anything of it at the time.Then, one day, as my husband was taking our laundry down, 2 lines just fell out of the slots.
I instantly e-mailed the company to inform them of the problem.However, I was e-mailed back stating that they do not accept returns after the package is open.To me this made no sense, how am I to know if a product is going to work if I don't open the package.They informed me that they would get me the 800 number for the manufacturer to see if there was a warranty.That was 2 weeks ago, and I have yet to hear back from the company.
I highly suggest turning around and going with a different company that may carry the same products.They have horrible customer service, and no regret for selling a poor product.Most companies I have dealt with through Amazon immediately accept a return on a defective product and either refund your money, or replace your product.
Spend your money elsewhere.
